The ideal candidate for this role will have/be responsible for:
* Experience leading a team of direct payroll operations support (coordinators and specialists) overseeing their daily tasks.
* High volume payroll processing for multi-provincial biweekly employees across multiple locations.
* Familiarity with high paced environments – preferrably 2000 + employees.
* Experience working with multiple unions – heavily unionized environment. Working with union deductions, remittances, reconciliations and audits.
* Reporting to the Payroll Director – North America.
* Familiarity with year end processing – payroll audits, conducting remittances, reporting to the GL and journal entries.
