A recognisable client based in Downtown Toronto are looking to recruit an experienced Assistant Payroll Manager for an initial 9 month temporary contract. This role will be hybrid working and you will be required to attend the office 3 days a week with 2 days working from home.

This is a new role which has been created to pride an extra level of structure in the team between the Payroll Manager and the rest of the team. Your role will be to provide day to day support to the Payroll Manager and team of 6 Payroll Administrators. You will be responsible for your own payrolls as well as providing advice on complex queries and support the day to day running of the payroll department. The team currently process an in house monthly payroll for 7000 employees.

In order to be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate previous experience at a senior level within a busy payroll department. Previous staff management or supervisory experience is essential. You should be able to confidently manage the day to day duties of a team and deliver complex payrolls from start to finish. An advanced understanding and knowledge of multiprovincial payroll legislation is essential.
